WHITE OAK BARK (Quercus alba) White Oak bark is a strong astringent that is used both internally and externally. Internally, it may be used for diarrhea, dysentery, hemorrhoids, menstrual problems with excessive bleeding, hematuria, internal hemorrhaging, low grade fever, ulcerated bladder, goiter, neck problems, gallstones, and kidney stones. May be used internally or externally as a douche or enema. External uses include: hemorrhoids; varicose veins; gargle/mouthwash for throat and mouth; leucorrhea (as douche); as a cold compress for burns, sores, skin irritations; as a poultice for bruises, injuries, swollen tissues, bleeding; and as a poultice to strengthen a loosened tooth.
SUGGESTED USAGEUse 6-12 drops in juice, water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
